The Louis Philippe AW/11 denim line, titled 'Serge de Nimes' was inspired from the timeless french era. Serge, a heavy weight twill fabric from Nimes, France was used to make jeans for workers and miners in the late 18th century. The word denim is a shortened version of Serge de Nime.
The collection was designed keeping in mind the heritage and legacy of the French king Louis Philippe. Coated dark denims, antique metal trims, use of fleur de lys motif were some of the key features.
